A NEW MUSICAL IN DEVELOPMENT IN N.Y.C.
HE PUT HIS HEART INTO THE MUSIC.
DANCE WAS THE LANGUAGE OF HER SOUL.
TOGETHER THEY STAGED THEIR GREATEST PRODUCTION — LIFE.
On the night of her school’s annual concert, distinguished dance educator Marge Young gazes out from a backstage curtain and reflects on her storied career. Flashbacks trace her rise from a child star in Hollywood’s silent comedies to headlining prominent nightclubs and meeting her husband, Jim, a talented and popular pianist. The Storm's original score and inventive choreography artfully frame the couple’s theatrical clash of personalities, celebrated achievements, and a legacy best exemplified by the success of their students. Based on a true story, the musical culminates with the title-inspiriting concerto staged to signify the emotional journey of the its main characters; it's a fitting tribute for two veterans of show business whose tempestuous personal relationship serve as a backdrop to the creation of beautiful music and education to a generation of show-stopping performers!
